I know, I keep introducing myself in like.. every page on this site. But I want you to know who you’re purchasing from or chatting with. Think of me as your virtual mom friend.
I’m Giselle, mama to a toddler and Certified Breastfeeding Specialist. I love iced matcha’s with sweet cream cold foam, Trader Joe’s and have an office with an entire boob wall, cool right?
My trip throughout breastfeeding, pumping and motherhood has been a rollercoaster. Pregnancy went amazing and I thought I was SO prepared to take on the mom role, WRONG. After I had given birth— Breastfeeding didn’t come easy for me and I was diagnosed with postpartum depression, anxiety and PP rage. Eek, I know. A lot to take in there. I felt confused. Why did I feel this way? Why don’t we talk about the 4th trimester more? I reached out to my OBGYN for guidance and she informed me that this was normal, that I will go back to myself soon and prescribed me some meds. No referral to a therapist, didn’t ask to see me, no further questions. I stayed confused. I felt alone, why don’t we talk about this more? Especially when a mother finally seeks for help. Blissful Mami came to me when I was in a dark place. Peak pandemic and FTM— I wanted to create products that made me feel empowered. Products that made me feel like I was doing a great job, little reminders if you will. I started with making a couple of things for local mamas then made an Etsy. BM was my creative outlet, where I’ve connected with SO many amazing mothers who went through similar things as myself. I’m blessed to say I’m in a much better place and I have my son, my hubs and this outstanding community to thank for that. I absolutely love what I’m doing. I’ve gotten the privilege to say lots of moms worldwide have a little piece of BM! I have also recently became a Certified Breastfeeding Specialist to help inform more of everything that I wish I knew while breastfeeding and pumping all while still continuing to create fun and uplifting merch for mamas. Motherhood can be tough at times. Sometimes we don’t spoil ourselves and when we do it’s automatic mom guilt when it shouldn’t feel that way. I make fun, relatable items for breastfeeding, pumping and motherhood as a whole because I feel in my heart we need to be reminded of the amazing job we’re doing.
